The Philadelphia Dream Center serves as a resource center focused on finding solutions to homelessness, hunger and the lack of education through community outreach programs.
Pastors David and Shirrie Dominguez serve as Missionaries at the Philly Dream Center located in the heart of North Philadelphia. Together they have a heart for those who have been marginalized by the traditional church. Coming from an unchurched background, they understand many of the struggles faced by people today and seek to serve others right where they find them. In 2016, they graduated from SUM Bible College and Theological Seminary. Following this their family of four children moved to the city of Philadelphia to establish the Philly Dream Center. The Philly Dream Center believes that each Christian has been entrusted by God with individual gifts that not only enrich their lives, but also enrich the lives of those around them.
The Philly Dream Center will reach our community through genuine relationship, and lifestyles. We are committed to using creative methods to communicate the gospel of God’s love to people in our community. We believe the Bible holds the key to unlock God’s purpose in every persons’ life. They seek to bring together biblical truths and modern methods that will speak directly to this generation.
At the heart of the Dream Center it is a desire to rescue those who have been enslaved by hunger, homelessness, poverty, and human trafficking, and other life controlling issues. They do this by providing hope, empowerment, and the love of Christ both in word and deed in our four focus areas- Children, Community, Discipleship, and Hunger Relief. We seek to meet urgent physical and spiritual needs through our many outreach and discipleship programs.
The mission of the Pittsburgh Dream Center is to directly impact the issues that afflict Pittsburgh communities by reconnecting people to God and a community of support by providing free human services that address immediate and long-term needs in the area of hunger, poverty, homelessness, education, and human trafficking.
The Pittsburgh Dream Center (PDC) started in 2011 as founders, Gary & Amanda Brougher heard God speak to their heart to start a Dream Center to reach their home city. Gary & Amanda along with their four children in 2011 pulled up to a street corner in McKeesport, PA and launched the PDC with the Adopt-A-Block outreach. Since that time the PDC continues to reach out to the residents of that block along with five other outreaches including a church service. The PDC is able to minister to over a thousand people each month with the help of their faithful staff and volunteers.
